How to Send send a text on behalf of an elevator:

  1. Log in to cmdty Management System.

  2. In top right corner, options to select a account, or create a new account. For existing clients/elevators, select “select a account.”

  3. Either choose the client you want to send the message for in the alphabetic list, or search for it using the “keyword” panel on the right.

  4. Once the client is selected, choose “Mobile Text” from the options on the left hand side bar.

  5. Next, choose mobile alerts and select “Add new mobile alert” under the list of previously sent messages.

  6. In the messaging area, the message header will be a part of the text message, just at the top. The content area will be next after one line of spacing. The footer will be last, in the same format.

  7. To finish, the schedule and recipients section contains 5 elements:

    1. Send at: Can select date or time in future, or leave alone to send immediately.

    2. Sent On: Blank, should be left blank

    3. Site: In drop down, select site name for the elevator/customer you are sending the messaging for

    4. Groups: Deselect groups, distribution lists are what will be used for the texts

    5. Distribution Lists: This section determines who will get the messages, and if an individual is in multiple groups they will receive duplicate messages. It’s best to select the distribution list that the most people (or most relevant people) are subscribed to. To check this, follow the directions below.

  8. After the distribution list is selected, hit save mobile alert and you will be returned to the list. The entry will say “Pending” until it delivers at which point you can see how many users got the message and if there are any errors.
