For users with multiple trading accounts, the "active" trading account is an application-wide setting. You will choose an account from which all widgets in the application will trade from at any one time. You can be confident that all trades placed are going to the same active account, reducing the chance of trading mistakes. To change the "active" trading account, simply select the desired account from the drop-down box in the ‘User Menu’ (located at the top of the application in the main toolbar.)

You can also change the global trading account using the Settings > Configure Trading and Hedging by clicking on an active account and setting it as the global trading account (star icon).
