Does Match cost anything to the Producer/Farmer?

  • No, this service is brought to you buy the unique Grain Buyers offering this to their clients. There are no download or transaction fees collected by Barchart.

How am I supposed to use the product?

  • Submit, Monitor and Manage your Grain Offers.


Account Setup & Approval

I am a Producer Looking to submit an offer to a Grain Buyer, How do I get started?

  • Visit your Grain Buyers website or search iTunes or Google Play for the Grain Buyers dedicated cmdty Marketplace Login

Can I register with multiple elevators under the same user name?

  • Absolutely! Producers can log in to multiple pages at once as long as you have them open on separate tabs.

What Fields are required to register?

  • Upon registration all fields listed are required.

  • Email Address & Cell Phone Number allow for validation as well as further integrations once logged into Marketplace.

Is there an approval process to use Match?

  • Yes, Merchandisers must approve your account before you are able to submit an offer or view existing offers.

Will I be alerted when I am either approved or denied by an elevator?

  • Yes, you will receive an email when an elevator approves or denies your account. The elevator will have 96 hours to approve your request. If you haven’t been explicitly approved, you’ll no longer be able to access some elevator-specific features, but will still be able to access the public version of the application. You can always reach out to your elevator contact and coordinate with the Marketplace team (marketplace@barchart.com) to work on getting approved after the initial 96 hour period.

I haven’t been approved by the elevator yet. Can I still submit an offer?

  • No, if you register and have yet to be approved please contact your Grain Buyer.

I haven’t been approved by the elevator yet. Can I still chat with merchandisers linked to that elevator?

  • Yes, users can chat with elevators prior to gaining approval. However if the elevator does not grant approval, users will no longer be able to chat with the elevator.


Match Features

How do I receive notifications?

After downloading our apps make sure to select “Allow Notifications”. Alternatively, you can can do the following:

  • Go into phone settings

  • Select “Notifications”

  • Choose the elevator app and set to allow notifications

I am a Producer can I access my Contracts and Tickets through Match?

  • Match is the Offer Entry & Management solution but you can sync your account within cmdty Marketplace

Do I need Notifications enabled to Chat?

  • No, but in order to see the communication alert coming back without the chat window open we suggest enabling Notifications.


Making & Managing Offers

How do I make an offer through the Marketplace App?

There are 2 paths to submit a new offer within the Marketplace App.

  • 1) Click on Cash Bids

    • Select a Cash Price

    • Click on “Submit Offer”

    • Select or Enter required information trough Offer Window

    • Preview

    • Submit

      • If activated you will receive an email notice of the new offer submission

      • You can also click on the “Offers” button on the main menu to see your new offer in a “Pending Status”

  • 2) Main Menu - Offers

    • Select or Enter required information trough Offer Window

    • Preview

    • Submit

      • If activated you will receive an email notice of the new offer submission

      • You can also click on the “Offers” button on the main menu to see your new offer in a “Pending Status”

How do I make an offer through the Marketplace Desktop Site?

  • Click in the lower right window “My Offers” tab

    • Click on “Create Offer”

    • Select or Enter required information trough Offer Window

    • Preview

    • Submit

      • If activated you will receive an email notice of the new offer submission

      • You can also click on the “My Offers” button on the main menu to see your new offer in a “Pending Status”
