The PowerSystem Software includes the following programs:

• PowerLink - Retrieves data files from the CRB DataCenter servers.

• PowerDist - Distributes downloaded files to PRO, Meta (CompuTrac (MetaStock)), and ASCII (.CSV) formats.

• PowerGen - Generates custom Nearby, Continuation, and Most Active data series (formerly DataXtract)

• PowerSignals - Technical Analysis software.

• PowerPro - Manages data in PRO and Meta formats.

Input File Types Supported by the Distribution Process

This document describes the different file types supported as input by PowerSystem’s distribution process at the time of this writing. They can be divided into three groups: online data files, PRO format data files, and support files.

• Online data files: .as4, .sto, .spl

• PRO format data files: .pro, .krv, .cot, .stk, .evt

• Support files: .txt, .lst, .pdf, .chm, .pkd, .pki, .xml, .sch

Binary Data Format Description (PRO)

The PRO format is a binary file format. As such, data in a PRO file can not be read with a standard word processor. We provide PowerPro for viewing and editing these files. Only edit PRO data files with such an editor.
